In this case, SOS is quite the opposite of a distress signal. It is our name for an opportunity for adults to learn to sail or to improve their skills using our fleet of J/22s. Many of the students have no previous experience. Others have been sailing for years, but want to learn from our experienced instructors. I suspect that getting a chance to go sailing with others and meet new friends is the real reason some people join the group. Whatever your motivation, sign up and learn and socialize with other members. The program is planned for six classes over seven weeks (as weather permits). Land classes are offered if rain or lack of wind prevents going out in the boats. We may offer make-up classes at the end of the season if we can make arrangements with students and instructors.

J-22 Profile DrawingThe classes are planned to start in late June and run to early August, skipping July 27th (the Opti Regatta, please volunteer), meeting at 6:00 PM. The instruction is provided by volunteers, but there may be a boat maintenance fee.  Participants must provide their own Coast Guard approved PFD (life jacket).
