Other tips:
At the MYC you will find two hoists that can lift 4,000 lbs., one hoist that can lift 1,500 lbs. you can use to launch your boat. The water under the hoists is deep enough to launch at dead low tide, expect tides to run about 6 1/2′. See the tides – weather page for more information.

To the race area:
After launching, you will turn right, heading south out of Milford Harbor. Please exercise courtesy (and safe boating) as the harbor entrance can be crowded, with some power boaters not knowing a sailboat needs room to tack. You will see channel markers on the way out of the harbor, at times of 3 hours either side of dead low, HONOR the channel markers! The bottom is soft sand, be careful you don’t personally find out.
