The April Rudder is posted . . .
Welcome to spring at Milford Yacht Club! There’s still a little chill in the air but our wheels are already in motion at the Club, preparing for what looks to be a fantastic, sunny summer season! Soon you will see major upgrade activity at our pool and other outside maintenance to the main clubhouse, surrounding decks and grounds.
We can all look forward to multiple, new, member events that our Entertainment Committee has been planning. Along with our existing hard working committee members, we are very excited to see new young family members anxious to get involved with entertainment and activities throughout the Club. With all of the upgrades to the pool facility, including new pool staff, and children’s events planned for the Junior Yacht Club building, young families have the opportunity to use those areas of our Club even more. Any members that would like to be involved in the daily and weekly family activities, please contact Vice Commodore Bob Colum.
To kick off this month’s events, sharpen your knives for Carvery Night on April 6th. Chef will be putting out quite a delicious spread! Every Thursday this month, we’ll be offering Family Dinner Night featuring wonderful dinner specials priced for a great value. The Easter Bunny will be back for the MYC Kids’ Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April 13th and our famous Easter Brunch on April 21st is always a sellout event, so make your reservations as soon as possible.
Finally, Saturday, April 27th is MYC Member Work Day. Come on down with your work gloves, rakes and shovels to help out around the grounds as we spruce up for the new season. This is a great way to meet other members, spend time with friends, get involved and to make our grounds look fantastic. A complimentary lunch will be served in the Commodore’s Lounge to all those who helped out!
